Del and Jason did a fantastic job on this fitting for a very happy customer in Cambridge.
They installed the following over a day in order to create safe and easy access into and around the loft.
HYBRID LOFT LADDER
The Hybrid Ladder was relocated by the team into a better position for the customer, making the access for them easier.
The Hybrid Loft Ladders are one of our most popular types of ladders:
Much like the Wooden ladder, they have the wide wooden treads which makes if feel more sturdy when climbing the ladder.
When folded into the loft the ladder sits on top of the hatch which means that it doesn’t take up any additional storage space in the loft.
As the hatch is lowered the ladder lowers with it bringing it down to a more accessible height in order to fully extend it to the floor and vice versa when raising it back into the loft.
The hatch is insulated and sealed of which helps with the homes energy efficiency.
A handrail can be added to these ladders as an optional extra.
The loft insulation is installed with 100mm running between the joists and 170mm running at 90 degrees to the 100mm – bringing it to the recommended 270mm. Laying it as such correctly stops thermal bridging. The insulation is a great way to help with the home’s energy efficiency helping the home to feel warmer during winter and cooler in the summer.
Loft Insulation should be one of the first measures to consider before upgrading or installing Solar Panels, Heat Source Pumps and Boilers.
BENEFITS OF LOFT INSULATION
The loft insulation will help to keep your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.
The insulation will help to prevent heat loss.
The insulation will help to lower your monthly/yearly bills by an estimated 20%.
Having loft insulation and draught proofing installed is one of the most cost effective ways of maintaining heat in your home.
The insulation will help with your Energy Performance Rating (EPC).
LIGHT HOOD COVERS
The Hood Covers have been installed in order to protect the Spotlights below and to keep the insulation from falling on top of them.
The Lap Vents are installed in order to assist with the ventilation within the loft and to reduce any condensation of which may be caused by lack of ventilation in the loft.
Well done team.
